28 April 2006: Katrina - Highlights of the Bush Administration's shortcomings

The Bush Administration?

An incompetent bunch of power-hungry piranhas, disguised as well-meaning, by-the-people-for-the-people leaders of the biggest powerhouse in the damned world.

And when it comes down to it, can't even protect its people from Mother Nature.

Katrina hit New Orleans last August. That is an estimate 8 months ago.

8 months. A hell of a long time for the government to get off their plush leather sofas and come up with a better emergency plan for the next hurricane season.

It's a hurricane season. It means that there's a pattern of recurrence. It means that there are going to be more hurricanes of equal or higher capacity to damage.

And the government is saying that "No, we're not (prepared enough)".

What the hell have they been doing for the past 8 months then? Pretending and hoping that something like this isn't going to happen again?

You've got to pray for the best and prepare for the worst. Right now, what they are doing is praying for the best and preparing for, well, the best.
